Dentures are strong, reliable appliances that can replace your missing teeth and help you chew, talk, and smile with confidence. Even though it’s a tough appliance that can give you what you need, you still need to take good care of it so it can remain in tip-top shape. So, please do your best to keep your appliance clean and pristine. You can do so by doing the following things:

-Rinse the dentures after eating: Run your appliance under water after you have eaten, whether it was a meal or snack. Rinsing the dentures will help remove the food particles that are stuck on and between your artificial teeth. Please be careful as you handle the appliance because if you drop it, it can easily break.

-Clean your mouth: After you have removed your dentures for the day, clean your mouth thoroughly. If you still have remaining natural teeth, clean those teeth with a soft-bristled toothbrush. If you do not, use a soft toothbrush or a gauze pad to clean your gums, cheeks, tongue, and roof of your mouth. This will help keep your appliance clean.

-Brush your dentures daily: Brush your dentures each day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and nonabrasive toothpaste or denture cleaner. This will help remove the particles that stick to your appliance throughout the day.

-Soak the dentures: Most dentures need to remain moist to stay in shape, so please place your dentures in water or a mild denture-cleaning solution overnight.
